Do you self-identify as trans, two spirit, intersex, non-binary or gender diverse? Are you between the ages of 16 – 24? Family Services Ottawa and the Ten Oaks Project would like to hear from you through our online survey!
We know that trans, two spirt, intersex, non-binary and gender diverse children and youth face barriers to participating equally in sports, recreational activities, and camp programs. Family Services Ottawa and the Ten Oaks Project are working together to collect information about how to address these gaps in accessibility and services. As part of our information gathering we are conducting three focus groups and three online surveys; one for parents and caregivers, one for youth and one for coaches and recreation/camp staff/administrators. Our parent/caregiver and youth focus groups are completed. The group for coaches and recreation/camp staff will be held later this spring. Our online survey for youth is now open.
