Kathryn Ann Hill will join the organization as Executive Director on January 9, 2012.

In 2000 she joined United Way of Canada, as an Associate Vice- President responsible for strategic alignment, partnerships and regional development. During her four years at United Way of Canada Kathryn was immersed in the world of revenue development and fund allocation, providing education and leadership to United Ways across the country.

While at United Way of Canada, Kathryn was accepted into a scholarship program at McGill University; achieving a Masters in Management in this unique Executive MBA program that was designed to develop leaders for the voluntary sector.

For over 7 years Kathryn was the National Executive Director of Healthpartners Fund, a national foundation that raises money for 16 national health charity members. Under her leadership, the organization restructured and refined its brand and strategy; revenue grew from $4 million to over $14 million.   Kathryn will be leaving her current position as National Executive Director of the Sandra Schmirler Foundation to join FSO.

Throughout her career and volunteer work Kathryn has demonstrated her deep commitment to social justice and to building healthy organizations.  In her work, Kathryn has focused on building successful collaborations and partnerships as a result of her firm belief in the strength and assets that are created when diverse interests are brought  together to focus on a common goal.

Please join us in welcoming her to our organization.
