Family Group Conference/Family Group Decision Making is a facilitated process that provides families an opportunity to create plans for the care of their children. Day 1: Basic Training – An Introduction to FGC/FGDM
A full day that will provide you with an understanding of the history, philosophy, benefits of FGC/FGDM and a description of the conferencing process. Suitable for prospective FGC coordinators, child welfare staff, OCL and other interested community service providers who want to increase their knowledge of FGC.
Day 2: Advanced Training – Skills Building in FGC/FGDM (Basic Training is a prerequisite)
A full day that enables participants to further their knowledge and skills as referring professionals or in preparation for the role of FGC coordinator. This training is suitable for prospective coordinators, child welfare staff and other interested community partners.
When: Friday June 21st, 2013, 9:00 – 4:00 and Saturday June 22nd, 2013, 9:00 – 4:00

Registration Fee: $125 for Day 1 or $250.00 for 2 days (Please make cheque payable to Family Services Ottawa)
