Artistic Resilience : Christine Ross (1939-2015)
An Art exhibit hosted by Christine Ross’s daughter, Siobhan Arnott, and Family Services Ottawa (FSO), in support of individual and family mental wellness. Artistic Resilience displays the artworks of the late Christine Ross, who was a prolific artist despite a lifetime spent battling schizophrenia and manic depression. The exhibit will encourage people to speak openly about the challenges we all face in achieving mental wellness, and the many ways to remain resilient in the face of mental health challenges.
When: May 10th to 30th, 2016 daily from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm. A reception will be held on May 22, 1 pm – 3 pm, 2016. Christine’s daughter and other speakers will share their experiences and stories of resilience.
Where: LaLande & Doyle Exhibition Space, Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Boulevard, Lower Level
