Amirah is the Chief Operating Officer at Saegis, a subsidiary of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). Prior to joining the CMPA, she worked in the private sector in Ottawa and abroad and has over 20 years of experience in strategic and corporate planning, reporting, performance measurement, project management and data management. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Project Management Professional certification. As a first generation Canadian, and having worked in countries such as Pakistan and Indonesia, she has an appreciation for various cultures and is proud to join the Family Services Ottawa (FSO) Board to be part of helping a diverse community. When not working, Amirah enjoys spending time with her family including her twins who are involved in several activities and sports in the community.
