Jane has an extensive background in social services and education. She holds a Master of Social Work from McGill University and a Master of Education: Policy and Administration from St. Francis Xavier University. She has worked in Ontario and Quebec with families and youth at risk. Jane has facilitated family life education programs for a wide range of community members.
Jane transitioned from a career as a social work practitioner to an Algonquin College Professor in 2000. She has held a number of administrative positions at Algonquin College where she is currently the Dean of the School of Wellness, Public Safety and Community Studies. Jane’s work at the college has allowed her to develop and maintain strong connections with community partners.
Jane believes in life-long learning and has pursued studies at the graduate level in conflict resolution.
