Beyond the Baby Blues

About the Program

This 9 week group is for anyone who has given birth and who is experiencing postpartum depression and/or postpartum anxiety. It is designed for persons who are noting the signs and symptoms of distress that go beyond the short-term “baby blues” that are often experienced after birth.  Participation is by self-referral and all levels of postpartum depression and anxiety are welcomed.

The first session is a Partner/Supporter Information Session.  This session is for group members along with their partners or supporters to receive information and strategies to help the family in their recovery from postpartum depression and anxiety.

Cost: $300 (Possible coverage by private insurance or sliding scale fee)

About the Program

This program provides support to participants via workshops and multi-week groups, which focus on learning about perinatal mental health and wellness. Participants will also develop coping skills that can improve Perinatal Depression and/or Anxiety, such as mindfulness, assertive communication, and cognitive behavioral therapy-based tools.

This program is open to people who are expecting, have given birth, or have adopted, and who are noting the signs and symptoms of depression or anxiety, or who are simply needing support during their transition to parenthood. Participation is by self-referral.
